Rifle Scopes Thoughts /help with Remington BR Vintage Scope
I have a Remington BR 24X scope that is sliding all around on recoil. I was thinking I need another 1 inch ring If i put one on each side, it would not slide around. Any thoughts?- Paulsgs

Rifle Scopes Scope for a centerfire 40-X
I have a 1972 Rem 40-X in .308 that I would like to find a "period" scope for. I shoot 100yards, and sometimes 200 yards casually on weekends. I was thinking of a 20X Fixed, but concerned about the durability of the Redfield 3200 / 6400 on a .308. . I know that a Rem BR 20X was made but was a...- Paulsgs

Remington 40X in need of scope
1971 40-x in .308. Beautiful stock, stainless barell , Olympic front rear sights. I was thinking about adding a Scope. I want to stay as close to period as possible, some suggestions have been Weaver K4, or of course the Rem 20X ($$$$) . I am a 100-200 yard Target shooter at a range for fun...- Paulsgs
