One thing I know in the almost 20 years of shooting is S&B has never had to meet other's standards, The PMII has been the golden standard for all others, including NF. After that it all becomes a personal choice.
I've been looking at the VX 6 line from Leupold specifically 3-18 and 6-24. I've been trying to find the parallax scale and all I can find out is that it goes to infinity but nothing about how low it goes. I have come close with speculations from very reliable people but nothing certain as of...
Ilya, After continued searching I have still not been able to find the minimum parallax yardage for the Leupold. I have found a great deal on a Leupold VX 6HD 4-24 with an Impact 23 reticle which I find very favorable at $1500 delivered and believe could be the scope I've been looking for if...
Ilya, I've been following you for years and very happy to have you chime in my thread. Leupold was one of my top choices from the VX-5HD 3-18 and VX -6HD 6-24 unfortunately I believe (but not 100% sure) the parallax won't help me much when shooting rimfire or air rifle, again I might be wrong...
Also, without starting a new thread does anyone know what happened to Killswitch, he used to have a sticky tracking different scopes and don't see it anymore. It has been a while since I've come here and not sure what's changed, if anything.
Thanks Steve. You're absolutely right! The thing is everyone has their own tolerances where some can tolerate a not so forgiving eyebox. That being said I definitely have to take a look for myself now to make sure, it definitely has all the right stuff for an affordable scope. Again, thanks for...
Thank you all for your input. Definitely helpful. After looking at some of your options I am definitely considering the Athlon Ares 4.5-29. Everything falls within my tolerance levels. Also worth the risk at 2K less than my original option. I'll give you a call after the holidays Doug. Happy...
Been looking around at a scope to do everything Hunt, LR and Rimfire. Narrowed it down to a March 2.5-25x56, 10 yards parallax, 24.5 oz for the MOA with a selection of 4 reticles. Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.
Does anyone know where I can get a mag retention spring for a T3 that attaches to the trigger assembly to keep the mags from falling. Been working on my rifle on and off for the last year and can't seem to find it anywhere. Any ideas are also welcome. Thanks in advance.
I have that scope. It came with my Savage as a set. It's not a bad scope for it's intended purpose. When you go into the $2K range compared to the Nikon you're using, all you'll need to do is look through one to tell the difference, it won't take an experienced shooter to see it, especially...
