    Re: 280 Ackley Improved optimal twist rates The 162 A Max is what I plan on shooting primarily as the lightest weight bullet and it is nice to see that a 1:9 twist works well the heavier bullets. My plan for lighter weight bullets and smaller game is to build a 260 remington. Thanks, Ed

When I rebarrel it I am going to a heavy varmit barrel which sould add an additional 2lbs. Also how has your barrel life been?
