    My 5r milspec has been one of my favorite guns. I will never get rid of it. It’s been stupid accurate from day one. I did put mine in a manners t4a.

    A toast to the venerable Remington 700 5R mil-spec

    Mines changed a little over the years but it’s my favorite rifle. This thing has always been a hammer. Super easy to find loads it likes. It’s been in the same config for years now. Sits in a manners t4a with mini chassis, Timney flat trigger, gap bolt knob, vortex razor gen 1, and threaded barrel.

    Check the gas port size on the barrel. Sometimes the ballistic advantage barrels port holes are a tad undersized. Had to have my gunsmith open mine up on my 6.5 creed. Now it runs great with no issues. Just something else to check. And yes before I had it drilled out I tried different buffers...

    Wilson Combat 6.5 Will Not Cycle Correctly

    I had an aero precision 6.5. Was having similar issues. Tried adjusting the gas block, changed buffers and springs. Nothing worked. My problem ended up being the gas port was undersized. Had my smith open it up and now it runs fantastic.

    I have a t4a with mini chassis. With the accuracy my gun shows I have never seen the need to bed.
