Top of the turrets aren’t level. I leveled the pic rails then locked it down and leveled with a straight edge off the bottom of the scope and had good luck with that method

Can’t give you a comparison of the glass between those two but I do like the mark4 had glass. The issue is everyone that I’ve seen the line doesn’t match up on and that’s irritating at first but I kinda let it go. If anyone else reading this has mark4 hds let us know if your turrets line up with...

It’s a great scope. I still really like it and expect to be pleased with it for years once it comes back from them. Other than the dial not lining up perfectly

Do you have a more accurate method of measurement than a LRF? I’m extremely confident in my sig as to say it’s the most accurate method of measuring longer distances that I have access to with modern technology

I’m not getting your drift with this question, the LRF won’t have anything to do with the tall target test. As far as accuracy goes down range I understand that there will always be a +/- in any measuring method but a good LRF is as accurate as anything else. I’ve got tape measures of various...

Honestly less than 1’ of difference. It was so close that it was in the margin of error for tape measures. Dogs are awesome

I took my time and tested it against others (Burris xtr3, razor hd gen3, razor hd gen2)

Started off with the sig6k but then after being told how wrong I was I pulled out the 300’ tape measure

So this is what I found after having time to actually test them against each other and other scopes. On the two mark 4hd 6-24s that I have Leupolds “mil” is not accurate. Both track identical and have used the same data on both scopes which leads me to think that it could be a larger issue. I...

My issue is I honestly really like these scopes (other than the tracking issue). So I want to test them both tomorrow to verify that they need to go back because I have two nfl hunter matches coming up and I really don’t need another headache

For the sake of possibly eating crow I will confirm my 300’ tape measure (yes tape measures are frequently off), and I will go back out to the range with both mark4s on Monday.

Was at a well known range and verified it with my range finders.

I agree that it is a far superior method of testing but what I’m saying is when testing anything you can start off with very simple tests and if something fails then you have the option to test further in far more advanced ways but it’s going to be the same results. My test is extremely simple...

This is where I disagree with most people I guess. In a situation where a rifle shoots sub half inch groups like this one does there’s no need to do anything else. I could perform a tracking analysis and see exactly how much error is in the tracking but that’s honestly a waste of time. No...

Velocity would be a possible issue if the test was done at longer ranges. Test simply compares the point of impact change compared to the scope adjustment. No matter if is a 22creed or 22 pellet gun that test would be the same if you get the drift
