you say Ranch Carry, which for me means a gun that is going to get beat up and dirty. I would go for a Glock 23. It'll shoot when it's dirty, and you won't mind when it gets dinged up. Just my $.02

I LOVE the finish of cerakote. It's extremely durable, which is a must for myself. I've had 3 1911's, my 700, and my LWRC all done in cerakote. As for the Melonite, I have no experience with it

I bought the Surgeon rifles tactical bolt knob, and really like the design and grip, but not how much length it adds to the bolt handle. Has anyone cut it down and deepened the threads on it? If you have, can you post up some pics? Thanks, Austin P.S. for the "use the search"...
