I never had good luck with either in my rifle. I have a 18" Proof barrel that was made out of a shot out RPR barrel. I had no fire cracking other than the throat so I had my smith cut it off and make me an ARC barrel. Mine is also a 1-8 twist. I had really good results with Varget but since I...
Thanks for the reply. I guess I will be moving on. I have enjoyed the sight but not paying the kind of money they are asking to sell a couple of items a year.....
I have been on this form for damn near as long as it has been here and it tells me I have insufficient privileges to post!!! What the hell is going on????
If you can find loaded ammo you should buy it. We can find it here for around $25 for a box of 20. If you figure it up it is only like about 7 or $8 more a hundred than if you could find the things to load it.. SO you can shoot and still get your brass....
Just thought I would throw this out there. I have a bunch of loaded 105s from Hornady and they shoot so, so but I have been getting some pressure signs with some of these factory loads. I decided to pull some of these bullets and replace them with some lighter Berger 90 and 87gr bullets to try...
What would be the advantage of more case capacity?? The bolt head is the limiting factor on all of the ARs so your limited to how fast or hard you can push a bullet anyway. If your going to use a bolt gun the BR family would be the way to go......
It has an adjustable gas block and was just cleaned. They were the first rounds down the barrel. l really hate it because brass is so damn hard to find!! I am thinking about pulling some bullets and checking weights.......
I could understand if it was my reloads since I did have issues with my Varget loads and finally just gave up on Varget. But this is FACTORY Hornady ammo!!! Junk after one firing!!!
Ok guys, I have a question for the experts, why the hell am I getting ejector marks on brand new FACTORY loads!!!! Not only that the brass is now JUNK!! I can damn near push the primer in with my thumb!! I am using a can but that should not make a difference and I have not had this issue before...
Speaking of .220 Russian case, has anyone formed 6ARC from the .220 brass?? If so what is the process?? And what all has to be done to get it ready to shoot?? I have a bunch of cases that are more or less junk from the damn "Grendel belt"........
