    Only one way to find out. Shoot them. lol Hornady 75 BTHP have worked great in my ARs to shoot out to 500+. And no open tips do not negatively affect accuracy so don’t worry about trying them.

    That’s why I mentioned the o-rings as it’s cheaper and easier to get one at a local hardware store than order printed parts but he said he doesn’t need it so he might as well get it taken out.

    Yeah give a call as if it is one of the early ones it may be locking more easily than it should. They fixed it for people back then. Some that didn’t want to send it in did use an o-ring in the gap when unlocked so it wouldn’t lock.

    Possibly. Did you buy it used? Some of the earlier run had a softer lock to them but they fixed it in later runs. I leave mine unlocked unless I am doing a stage where I am using holds and then I lock it.

    Leveling a scope

    My fancy scope leveling tool I have used for a couple decades mounting dozens of scopes and still use when mounting. Always level upon verification. I wonder if I could make this 50 pounds and charge people $600 for them I could sell them? lol

    When I single feed my .223 in matches I don’t sit the round on the mag I push the nos into the chamber so when the bolt pushes it it’s already at least half in the chamber. The Zermatt bolt heads are made to have the extractor pop over the rim even though they are CRF. No damage or issues...

    Possibly that but it’s not a wide spread issue. Seems limited to what you mentioned.
