Looking for a Marine Sniper manual circa 1966-1972

    1) The M21 and M14Nm were never really out of inventory 2) The M21 continued to be used well after the corp converted to M16s, but continued to raise hell to get their M14s back. 3) Of the M14s left in inventory after Clinton shipped most of them overseas via MAP, Navy latched into most of them...

Looking for a Marine Sniper manual circa 1966-1972

US Marine Corp Sniper manual. Can't remember the pub date, but it was circa 70's. I am still dogging this one to get another copy, if I do, I'll post a Jpg of the cover.

Looking for a Marine Sniper manual circa 1966-1972

Not at all, it exists, I had a copy. Small (roughly 5x8), very thick and went into all facets of using the M21 with M118. The M40 was the second rifle in the pub. I kept a copy in my shooting stool.

M14 closes on a 308 no go gauge- sell it or keep it?

Try the Hornaday or the Forster. Both seem to measure off the datum which is more accurate. Haven't tried the Forster yet (it's coming).

M14 closes on a 308 no go gauge- sell it or keep it?

It's best to take the rifle and shoot some 7.62x51 ammo in it. Then measure the fired cases to get an idea of what the chamber really is. Then you can decide. There is a small amount of play involved in semi-auto rifles like the M1A and you can set the sizing dies properly once you know the...

Stainless of CM? It really is best to talk to [email protected], and ask their views on this one. Good barrels, good support. I use Kriegers all the time.

    M1A "M14" in 6.5x47 Lapua

People to talk to on this one would be SAI, they did offer the M1A in .243. I don't know if they still do.

    m1a accuracy

Interesting, never had a real problem with one personally, but I could run down the list of things I've seen over the years, especially with the SAI rifles.

    m1a build recommendations

Anyway, I'm looking for suggestions in basically every area to squeeze a little more accuracy out of it. I am also looking at barrels, I have decided on 18.5". My question is about barrel weight. I am looking at the Criterion that LRB sells for $200. Is it a solid choice or is it worth...
