The CMP custom shop can do all the modifications for reasonable prices, you could try giving them a spin.

For semi autos its like the old ban only one less feature so you can have an AR with no muzzle device, bayo lug, or collapsible stock, and you get to choose between a fixed mag or a convoluted non-pistol grip you could make it non semi by removing the gas tube and racking each round like a side...

If its a bolt gun their are no issues at all, if its a simi then there are a few hoops to jump through. No issues with ammo.
