Re: Team Wendy Exfil Helmet
Does the skull cap hold it in place while keeping the tension on the chin at a minimum? I'm really tired of jaw fatigue and headaches from my current set up. Do the holes in the helmet and padding allow enough hot air out to keep your head cool?
Re: Supressor question on a 300 ultra
I'm in the same boat. I want a can that will handle 300 Rum, but one of these days I hope to get stationed out west somewhere and pick up a 338 Lapua. Consequently, I've decided to go with a 338 can and accept a little less performance on the 30 cal...
Re: I need pants
I've been wearing the same 5 pair of LA Police Gear rip-stop pants for 11 months in Afghanistan now. They are tough and not too heavy for summer. $19/pair

Re: In need of a 308 hunting round
168 and 178 Amax's are great and I've taken down many deer with both. However, I've really grown to like the 150 TTSX over, I think--not sure/still deployed, 48gr of H380. It really sings in my 18", 1/10" Kreiger printing 3/8" groups at 100y and knocking...
Re: "new and updated AWB" summary
The bill includes increased funding for the BATFE for the implementation of registration and confiscation. Then they will systematically start with ranges looking for people using the newly illegal weapons. They can also use the authorities under the Patriot...
Re: Hunting caliber AR choices
Have you had any feeding issues with the 300BO? Think I read something about that being an issue somewhere.
With most 30 cal bullets, feeding isn't an issue. It's only when you use the rounded bullets v/s the more pointed ones that I've had any issues...like a...
Re: Hunting caliber AR choices
I fully understand your situation. VA doesn't allow 223/5.56 for deer hunting despite the performance of quality ammo. My solution for my boys was a 300 blackout. I have both a noveske 16" and wilson combat 16" that will dump a 20 round mag into an inch at...
Re: Chest rig or war belt?
I've got both with me here in doucebagastan. When in a vehicle or carrying a full combat load, a chest rig is prefered. However, most other times I wear the battle belt. It's more comfortable, retains less heat, and is somewhat concealed when wearing a coat. If...
Re: field and stream rut report
I've never heard of any male species letting the moon phase keep them from chasing poontang at any time of day. Suggest you get in the treestand unless your chasing poontang.
Re: 300 BO
I don't think the elcan's come with a subsonic bdc. The canadian's here in douchbagastan all carry the elcan 1x/4x and seemm to like it. The glass is great, but to me it seems bulky for such little utility. Leupold is the only manufacturer I know of making a 300 Blk subsonic...
Gents,
Does anyone know of new releases from AAC, TB, Surefire, Elite Iron, etc... for the Shot Show? I'm finally coming back from douchbagastan in March with cash burning a hole in my pocket for a new 30 cal, 338 Ti, and 45 acp can.
Thanks,
Rum
Re: getting Christmas cards to soldiers in the sandbox
I second Soldiers Angles. I know several of the organizers and they have contacts at many of the more shit-hole FOB's scattered around the country. Those of us in here Kabul or the main bases have access to AAFES and similar stores from...
