    AI AWSM or AX338

I had an AWSM and the mag really does limit how far out you can seat the bullets as the above poster said. I also had an AX308 and a TRG22. So not exactly what you are after but my order would be AX>AW>TRG. The AWSM is cool because it has that cache, instantly recognizable and a real part of...

MDT Short Action Metal Magazine (6BR)

MDT pretty much is the only solution now - that good IMO.

MDT AICS Mags and BR Kits

I dont really want the capacity it is more so I can get the full 12 in there without having to try. If I can squeeze in 13 even better.

MDT AICS Mags and BR Kits

I ordered 4 or the BR mags (2 for me and 2 for a buddy) and they shipped right away. They are the absolute best solution for Br based cartridges out there and I have tried the Primal Rights kit, PVA Kit, HRD Gear AW kit. There is no dicking around with the MDT mags, load and shoot just like it...

    Rifle Scopes Minox ZP5 5-25x56 & Steiner M7Xi 4-28x56

I have said this before in another thread but myself and @MDT_Josh are up in Canada and things are a bit different. We got our ZP5s much later (later production units )than you guys down south and I am pretty sure that by the time they started to ship in Canada a lot of the kinks were worked...

    PVA vs MPA barreled action

That mag still looks like a regular mag with a mag kit in it or am I missing the secret sauce in it? I prefer my AW mags with the HRD kit the most but a 12rd option would be nice.

    Advanced Sniper Rifle Solicitation

I have run XTSP triggers for a number of years and just switched to TT Diamonds. The XTSP triggers are great and I think (big think) that one of the versions is in service on the MK13. They are an amazing trigger but are very finicky and need to be set up just right to make them safe. It is...

    Rifles Only Gym

https://strengthlevel.com/strength-standards/bench-press or https://www.muscleforlife.com/strength-standards/ Maybe not the most scientific but decent enough - a 300lb bench and a 200lb man (my guess at NA male body weight average) puts you at Advanced level lifter. These stats also are...

    Rifles Only Gym

I would hazard a guess that you have maybe 1% of SH members that can bench 295 (probably 265 even).

Rifle Scopes Tangent, Minox, or Vortex

I have always tried to draw parallels b/w the car and gun world - they don't work. Toyota: Reliable, dependable, starts every time (you should see some of the the beaters they have in Africa - that is how toyota should make commercials) Ferrari: Expensive, lights on fire, insane maintenance...

    Groups in cold weather

I have a Vudoo 22 and went out in -22C with it and Eley Tenex. It did not group like it should have - I even kept the ammo in my pocket but once a bullet gets jammed into -22C barrel it cools off too fast to make a difference IMO. I went and shot at a indoor 50M range and it shot like it should...

2 lug vs 3 lug action bolt lift

Funny what you get used to. When I had the cadex 4 lug it felt very alien to me.

2 lug vs 3 lug action bolt lift

If you look at @morganlamprecht video he also "levers" the bolt open (or at least looks like it so please correct me if I am wrong Morgan). By lever I mean he puts his thumb hear the tang area and flips the bolt open with is index/middle finger. In my mind these offsetting forces, up on the bolt...

Rifle Scopes Tangent, Minox, or Vortex

I think this just goes to show how subjective the scope user experience can be. I had 3 SB 5-25s and sold them and now have 3 Minox ZP5s. The glass b/w the SB and Minox is close - I like the Minox more but if someone said the SB is better I would not argue. I like the Minox turrets more. I...

Vudoo Gun Works V-22 Rimfire Bolt Action

This is very true - I am impatient and have been shooting mine in this Canadian Polar Vortex and you can see the accuracy degrade as the ammo/barrel cools off (-20 C/ -4F). Even if you keep your ammo warm (I put it in my inside coat pocket) once you jam that round into your barrel the wax on it...
