    who can answer this? Primers

CCI LR, CCI #34, Fed 210M, Rem 91/2... I live too far from any Ranges and not good enough to compete, so I spend alot of time in the pasture testing different powder primer combos. I was trying some faster powders than usual, looking for backup loads... as far as the chrono, its no Oehler...

    who can answer this? Primers

When seating primers, not seating deep enough will obviously cause failure to ignite, but if seated too deep/hard will it cause weaker ignition? testing loads on 22-250, 30-06 and 260 over the weekend I encountered a couple new problems first being odd fluctuations in velocities and poor...

    260 Loads Only

ok guys, I placed an order a while back with a cowboy action shooter who orders quite a bit of reloading components, but apparently he's not up on rifle components... I watched him write my order on the list with the rest of the group list, but instead of BR2's I got CCI no.34 military primers...

    Sorting Loaded Ammo

Re: Sorting Loaded Ammo I see what you are saying Greg, and I do realize I would get out-shot with my gun and ammo in a supperior shooter's hands, but I sort bullets for my .45 too.. I don't feel like I will address my problems unless there's nothing else to blame it on I have just enough...

    Sorting Loaded Ammo

Re: Sorting Loaded Ammo Thats what I did... I went ahead and marked them, and wrote down all the measurements but I don't think it will help a bit since I'll be braking in a new barrel and have no idea of the powder used....

    Sorting Loaded Ammo

Hey Guys, I'm new to precision loading and trying to get a feel for my new equipment. This morning (bored) eyeing the beauty of the bench full of new toys, and wondering just how to use some of this stuff I had the bright idea of trying to check the base to ogive length of some loaded ammo I...

    Gunsmithing what about the rifling??

Re: what about the rifling?? What about type of rifling though... I'm mainly going to use this gun goofin around trying to relive glory days, but want better accuracy than the M14 I carried... (not a fmr sniper, just DM in a Brigade Recon Troop...) (was still a cool job though)...

    Vectronix PLRF05 pics

Re: Vectronix PLRF05 pics I used the vector in Iraq, EXTREMELY durable.... it'd be the better choice (depending on the use,and the depth of your pocket)

    Gunsmithing what about the rifling??

I'm starting a "budget build" 300 win mag, snatched a 700 BDL for a great price so why not.. The thing is, there is alot of hype regarding the 5R type, then you have #of groove choices, push vs pulled button, cut, polygonal.... I buy guns the same way as i do trucks.. what I feel in the...
