I've seen ranges of 14-19 gr of powder in multiple books for supersonic load data. The supersonic rounds from American Marksman contained 10.3-10.5 gr of powder.
I've shot their 300 BLK and it was good to go. Pulled a cartridge apart and measured powder and it was within SAAMI specs. I went to them after ordering from a few hundred rounds of 300 BLK from American Marksman and my 11'5" BCM would not cycle properly. Pulled a few cartridges apart and they...
The intent for this will be for hunting so I will be shooting off a bipod or tripod too. I built this in December and finally zeroed it last weekend so I don't have a lot of field experience with it. I personally don't worry about the size or weight so I don't have any regrets.
Finished this build in December. Hoping to dial in the scope this weekend. CMMG MK4 lower with 20" barrel chambered in 6mm ARC. Steiner Military scope, Leupold cantilever mount BCM stock, grip and trigger guard, LaRue 2 stage trigger and Atlas bipod.
Thank you all for your opinions and advice. of these two I went with the older military 4-16. The comments made above about the internals being possibly more robust helped me make my decision. I know there are plenty of other options like you all suggested and I will pursue those in the...
Wow, thank you for the replies. One positive review for the older military scopes but not much love for the newer stuff. I didn't realize that so many people had complaints about them. I always thought they made high quality scope with exceptional glass.
Looking to step up from my current scope quaity. I'm debating on buying either a used Steiner Military 4-16x50 or a new Steiner PX4i 4-16x56. This will be going on an AR chambered in 6mm ARC. I can get both scopes for about the same price. Of these two, which would you recommend and why?
I also could not find much on them when I started looking for reviews last December. I have one in 6.5 CM and my dad has one in .308. Mine is topped with an Athlon Helos 6-24x50 and my dad's has the 8-34x56. The only upgrade we did was installing a Timney 510 trigger. We love our and...
There is no place to enter elevation or environmental conditions. Here is a link to set up https://www.burrisoptics.com/sites/default/files/content/products/preview/downloads/eliminatoriiiquick-guide.pdf I haven't heard of others having this issue. This testing was done in Fulton County, Indiana
My dad mounted a Burris Eliminator 3 on a Remington 700 PCR in .308. We zeroed at 100 yds, took a 5 shot chrono avg and entered the programming. When we went back to the 200 yd line, bullet impact was 6" above where it should be. This happened when we had it on his Browning A-Bolt in .300...
