"In that case, discuss with them the issue of you making the purchase based on the "BDL" description within their own media." Their chart seems to show that the BDL style was not compatible with the CDG model.- sgtsmmiii

Hawkins makes a a Hunter DBM that can utilize a flat, flush fit detachable magazine ( giving a similar appearance to a BDL style floorplate ). Might take a look at it. Good luck.- sgtsmmiii

Generally, consignment will net you more because the dealer is not trying to recoup the money he paid out for a firearm. A lot of dealers will low ball an offer buying from you on a high ticket firearm because they are worried it may possibly take them longer to find someone willing to purchase...- sgtsmmiii

Antique & Modern Firearms on Burt Rd in Lexington should work - they are consignment only - consignment fee is 17% I believe. Evans Firearms In Lexington on Regency Rd is another. And, Gilbert's Guns is a nice store on Louisville Rd. in Frankfort, along with Mike's Guns in Frankfort. All good...- sgtsmmiii

Remington 40XB KS Varmint Special
Plenty of Unertl external adjustment scopes on eBay, Gunbroker, and various forums. Shouldn't be hard to find what you are looking for magnification wise. I do love the look of the old time Unertl's, but a modern internal adjustment scope if hard to beat for actual long range use.- sgtsmmiii
