Night Vision Older PVS14

I have a pair of PVS 14s from my contracting days 2010-2013 that the image intensifier has burned out and I haven't used them in probably 8 years. (Disclaimer) the Army refurbished them both when we took incoming one night (2011ish) and they stopped working. So I have USGI maked parts on them. My question is should I just buy new NV optics or spend the money for a new image intensifier? If I'm buying new ones, what should I do with the old ones (besides trash them)?

I'd call CustomNightVision ( a forum seller ) and talk to them. I've bought a bunch of stuff from them and they have always treated me well.
