    Small varmint kills (the bastards!)

Been too hot, muggy and buggy to hunt mus, but it cooled down last night. SJC

    FUBAR times 6!

I guess the shop doesn't have internet access to find U tube videos on how to build a rifle and mount a scope ? This was sad to read. SJC

Night Vision N Vision still one of the best?

It depends on what features you want in a scope. Some say Nvision is going the way of Trijicon and sitting on their laurels with civilian optics because they have military contracts that pay the bills. Nvis optics have the bare bones of features compared to other optics, but I think they're far...

    Barrett M107 A1 Build

The 750 Amax loaded to cycle from the magazine are a lot more accurate than the others, but have a lot of jump to the lands. Resized AP works too, but isn't legal to use at most ranges or in competition. The Thunder ammo 770 multiband projo is said to be an accurate projo in the M107 or 82. Sold...

Savage 110 Scout vs Ruger American Ranch in 450 Bushmaster

The Ruger American action isn't the better M77 action with controlled feed. You need to decide on what type of firearm is best for you. If you already have an AR, you could buy a 450BM upper and a few magazines and have them shipped to your abode. Plenty of used 450BM rifles out there too. SJC

Savage 110 Scout vs Ruger American Ranch in 450 Bushmaster

Don't have one but after reading the specs and field reports from those that do I'd go with the Savage because of the better stock adjustment, magazine reliability and accuracy. The Scout is heavier than the Ranch rifle if weight is a consideration. SJC

    Barrett M107 A1 Build

The biggest non gunsmith and noticeable improvement in accuracy for my 107 was using 750 Amax match ammo. Here's a link to an older thread on what to look for and tips to improve your rifle...

    Savage Impulse 1 year update

I've never had an issue with an Accutrigger on my rifles and I've only had to repair Accutriggers someone has played with to give them a lighter pull weight than what they were intended to have. I didn't see your other post about the Jard Impulse trigger or I would've bought one earlier. At...

    Savage Impulse 1 year update

I broke down and bought the Jard trigger. Only one way to compare triggers. Got it in the 28-32 oz weight, as that's in the pull weight range of the Accutrigger that's in it now. SJC

    Small varmint kills (the bastards!)

This one took a tumble and didn't recover. The S60R is a great scope but it's a battery hog, especially when using the ultra clear mode in humid weather. SJC

    Savage Impulse 1 year update

Thanks for attaching the link and informing us that Jard makes a trigger for the Impulse. Adding it to the wish list. SJC

    Small varmint kills (the bastards!)

This mofo mus was playing hide and seek with me for a couple of weeks. You learn to shoot quick when dealing with mofo mus and this one showed itself right before I was going to put the rifle down and take out the scanner. Same H&N finale pellets. I've been testing several HP pellets to get some...

    Small varmint kills (the bastards!)

This mus came out right after an hours range session of testing/sighting in of sized and weight sorted H&N finale pellets. SJC
