You mean to tell us that these high dollar rifle manufacturers finally came around to making an upgraded version of what Savage introduced to the world in 1963 ? About time.
The only model's in the Impulse line that use AICS magazines are the Predator and Elite Precision with MDT chassis. The other models use factory Savage magazines and can't be converted to use AICS mag's without major alterations. There are two Savage aftermarket extra capacity magazines...
Unless pulsar stops producing the Thermion scopes proprietary batteries, you might be using it for a long time. The Apex scope I bought in 2014 and sold to a friend in 2016 is still going strong to this day. OP, Please keep us updated on your repair results. SJC

I just converted my brothers Ex wife's model 7 pencil barreled .243 to a medium weight 6CM 7.5 twist for him to go coyote hunting. I'm going to give the 108's a try and see how they work. SJC
Bought a Savage Impulse Predator .243 in April of 2021. It's seen a lot of field use and has had some changes since then. Went with a Boyds Adj thumbhole stock, X caliber .243 Carbon Fiber barrel with titanium brake/QD titanium Linear Comp and an Area419 bolt knob. Added a Backup Predator rifle...
NY coyote season is ending 3/31, so when we got hit on a camera at a bait pile we didn't waste any time paying a visit. First female dog we dropped at this farm.
Dropped Two more Sunday 3/24 in the full moon. Dog #2 was a Stanky female with a bum rear leg. Second dog taken with a serious leg injury in the last two weeks.
Spotted this three legged male traveling through an adjacent field. I would've liked for it to get into a clearer spot for the shot, but had to drop it when the wind changed direction and it started sniffing the air. Perfect thermal weather. SJC
