I am looking into purchasing a Savage Hog Hunter. I want to put a Surefire 762SS brake on it for my can but cant find anywhere the diameter of the barrel at end. If anyone has one sitting in the safe and could measure it for me I would appreciate it!

I am getting desperate. I shoot round nose bullets out of my 308's subsonic but I cant seem to find any, anywhere. I have a load now for 180 Hornady, but at this point I just want to get something similar. If you have any info on where I can find some please let me know.

My Gap10 hasn't seen this issue yet. Maybe it would be worth a clean and see if anything changes.

I to shoot the same combo. My load is 42.5. I think that is a little hot. I load mine at 2.8. What is your velocity with that?

I have 2 762SS brakes on my rifles. I have yet to clean the crown or see accuracy issues. Likely 3000 through one and 2000 through the other and I shoot suppressed often. Does it get dirty and look nasty in there yes, but do I notice an issue, not yet....

Similar load but not exact, maybe it would help? I shoot out of an 18" 11.25 Twist. 175SMK 42.5 VV N150. 2450~ FPS. Hope this gives u a start.

Use the mag and this wont happen. Single loading can cause this cause the free floating pin. I have experienced it. It can be that there is a high primer, but I would bet on it being because the single loading practice cause it seems to happen so often. JMO

I had some 150 Hornady SP and put 2000mr under it. I was surprised with how well it shot.

Chuck, I do already have the can. Suppose the only way to make it work is to turn the barrel down?

I have a Surefire 762SS that I would like to be able to put on a factory threaded rifle, however most of the heavy barreled, factory threaded rifles such as the 700 AAC have to much barrel OD for the required brake to work. Would it be possible to make or does anyone already make an adapter that...

My Gap 10 is 18.5". My load for that combo is 42.5 4064 (actually tested this, not just taken from MK316 Mod 0) and I load at OAL 2.805.

It would be minute of German tank, not sure I had enough RPM to be within range....
