I had purchased a custom 7wsm built on a UGSW 911 Long action that I haven't had a chance to shoot yet. The person I bought it from said he was running the 180 Bergers at a COAL of 3.152" with 69gr. of H1000 getting 3070fps. Has anyone run loads with this charge? The highest charge I've...
I've had the following heavy barrels: 26" Varmint 27" M40 20" Varmint 25" Med Palma. With those I'm really liking the med Palma balance for longer barrels and the Varmint for the shorter barrels.
This round sounds very interesting. Any idea what the future holds for it in the way of manufacturer support? Specifically match ammo, dies, factory brass? Also has anyone done any testing with SMKs or A Max bullets? If so what were the results?

I ran the same Sako brake for my 338 TRG and my 260 TRG and it still made a nice reduction in recoil. I just bought a 6.5 with a Little Bastard brake that should be here any day. If its anything like the Little Jimmy brake that APA installed on my 7mm, then I'd imagine my 80lb 10 yr old...
I would have suggested the 7mm as well but since you have components already that's a definite plus. Right now though 30cal bullets have been harder to find then 7mm at least for me. I would personally not go over a 26" Sendero profile for hunting unless you have very little packing in to do...
If by easier you mean did I shoot one more accurately then the other then I'd say yes and no. I could shoot equal size groups from both but the 338 does fatigue you more so I could shoot more small groups in one outing with the 260. Both had the Sako muzzle brake on them. The 338 is obviously...
