    Savage 12 F/TR .223

    You will need to shoot 80grain;s to do anything at 1000. your savage will be fine; 77 grain to 600 will work. My savage shoots well to 1000 with 80G@2920. It has a shilen barrel with a wylde chamber[80 grain rounds are long: 2,50.

    I have one on a Tavor;I love this scope.Illuminated MOA reticle is easy to go from 25/50 yards to 100Y very fast.

    I would buy a 16/24 power scope with a red dot if the dot was small enough.I think on overcast, rainy, days you could get on target faster.
