You will need to shoot 80grain;s to do anything at 1000. your savage will be fine; 77 grain to 600 will work. My savage shoots well to 1000 with 80G@2920. It has a shilen barrel with a wylde chamber[80 grain rounds are long: 2,50.

I clean and lube the bolt's on my Savages before every match. ZERO PROBLEM'S!

I have one on a Tavor;I love this scope.Illuminated MOA reticle is easy to go from 25/50 yards to 100Y very fast.

I have two SIII 10-50X60 on F-class rifles.I like them better than any scope I have checked out. Zero problems after 1000;s of rounds.

I love mine.I have some high dollar AR's but the Tavor is balanced better with a suppressor.I will never sell mine and I might get another!

I think a few people on here are a little naive.I do not reload or have much interest in doing it [I like to shoot]. Example: Black Hills has access to "powder" that no one on this sight has.[Hornady may also]. I know this because I acquired some of the rounds that BH made for the AM Team...

I have two Shilen match rachet rifled four grooved barrels that are hammer's. Not many people use them but they are amazing!

I LOVE my G20C; When I shoot +P+ it is a short barrel rifle![very accurate]

1/9 will not work.I shoot a savage,shilen 1/8 wylde barrel.It shoots well to 1000Y with 80G SMK @2920.

I would buy a 16/24 power scope with a red dot if the dot was small enough.I think on overcast, rainy, days you could get on target faster.
