Same load I use. 168 gn on 42.5 Varget was what my rifle liked and when I couldn't find Varget I tried 4064. Turns out 42.5 is where the butter zone is with this powder also. Love it.
O.K. all good advice. I'm gonna shoot it a while first and the tape on the front of the lug is how I saw it done on a youtube vid now that you mention it. I guess if I would bed it first then I would have nothing to compare results with. Might be a shooter as is. Actually it shots about .5" now...
Hey guys, I have a Rem 700 AAC-SD in .308. I've managed to get this rifle to shoot quite well by reloading and only resting the stock just ahead of the mag well on the bag. I'm not hunting or competing with this rifle, just banging steel here behind the house. I shoot out to 650 yds. Realizing...

Hey there, I usually figure things out here by searching but this is different. I have some property behind the house that allows me to shoot out to 600 yds. I have steel plates every 100 yds. Distances were google earth checked and paced off. Should be very close. I started reloading for my...
I would have been all over this except that two days ago a guy at work set an ammo box down and asked if it was something I might be interested in. Six 100 ct. boxes of unopened smk 168's. WTF! Seems someone in the family was a match shooter and got out of it. These guys are hunters and had no...
