Nord-Loc washers worked well for me on several barrels, but canted the silencer out of alignment on a couple. I've had great results with putting 2 or 3 drops of medium Loc-tite on the barrel threads, then letting it dry overnight.
I've been happy with my Brevis 7.62 on a 16" 5.56. 16" 6.8, and 24" 260. It's a little louder than a YHM Phantom, which is a few inches longer and a lot heavier. At 20 ounces, the Brevis is one of the lightest steel rifle silencers. Mirage is no worse than other silencers that I've used. And...
Has anybody compared the Thor 336 to the Thor 320? I've viewed through a 640 3x, 320 2x, and 320 1x in the field. The 320 2x has enough detection range for me and I like the wide field-of-view. But the factory specs make the 336 1.5x seem better for the money. Also, the price...
A PVS-14 with a DLOC mount and a NV-compatible EoTec will work well on a .223 AR. But a weapon-mounted PVS-14 isn't recommended for anything with more recoil than .223. ASM1 is in Rainbow City and has some good deals on blem PVS-14s. I'm close to Birmingham, if you want to try out some NV stuff.
