    AlumaHyde 2 Experiment

Warming the rattle cans in small pot of hot kitchen sink water for 5-10 min will allow the spray paint to flow smoother with a lot more consistency of spray density.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Checking: any problems with the Sig P229?

Not to detour the nature of this thread. Last retort off topic. Not a charter. Grumman Albatross G-111, only one of 13 originals in the world certified to fly. Departed St. Augustine, FL cross country to Alaska coastline and up to Anchorage and beyond.....Lake Hood is the largest sea plane base...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Checking: any problems with the Sig P229?

Exactly. We figured out not all bears had public education and therefore couldn't read signs. So we went further out, and further out.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Checking: any problems with the Sig P229?

P229 is fine for 2-legged varmints when alone, however even in .357 Sig, it has not been well vetted against thick hide North American deadly predators like other legacy calibers. It's a different discussion. Went Alaska outback last summer, packed out 12 ga. optic-fitted FN Herstal police...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Checking: any problems with the Sig P229?

The 4" P229R (rail) and particularly the P229C(compact / carry with 3.5" barrel, same as P224 barrel on the full size 229 frame) is my favorite. Available in 9 mm, .40 and .357 Sig. All use same 229 mags. Not MIM. The .357 Sig is nice. All in SAS (Sig Anti-Snag) profiles and added TFX tru-glo...

First Post- Looking for Scope recommendations- LMT 13.5" 308 Battle Rifle

I set up this KAC SR25 14.5" ACC with the old school Leupold Mk4 1.1-8X CQBSS scope; does well out to 600 meters; offset RMR zero @ 50 meters. I find shooting beyond 600 meters with 8X scope difficult, especially with an heat mirage.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Anybody have an estimate of the value of this sweet 16?

The 2-9/16" chambering was standard for 16 ga. until 1929, when SAAMI changed the standard length to 2-3/4". Yours was mfg. in 1968. Round knob stocks are considered more desirable to collect than flat knobs. Gunbroker is a good place to see similar examples. I have these two examples, 1957...

9 mm pistol suppressor on 9mm carbine

I use this AAC for Glocks and Wilson Combat AR9G (glock mags) SBR. The fixed spacer installed when the barrel is fixed, replaces the piston spring.

    Sig 226 advice

I have 5300 rnds thru the Blackwater, ~ 10% supressed. Quiet is always more enjoyable. How about the Sig-rig for optic & light in the day. Needed to us a bulky canvas LBT London Bridge Trading holster. Grip modules and slide optic cut-outs were not options.

    Sig 226 advice

The classic P-series P226 are pretty good platforms. Negatives, big grip circumference with a long trigger reach for many, and DA/SA take a bit of getting used to just like the Beretta 92M / F series. I like the P229 better, in particular the lesser known P229C (compact) which is the full...

    RRS accessory hole?

There's a gazillion options. Amazon has them for less than $20. Flexible goose-neck devices, standard 1/4"-20 tpi threads. From 10 years ago with early carbon fiber tripods.
