Spotters Advice on tripod / mount for Swarovski spotter

Before "plates & tables" were a thing I used a LaRue qd picatinny mount on a Swarovski carbon fiber tripod. I use mostly RRS kit now. You could configure the "duo" in a similar fashion for either picatinny or arca attachment.

    New barrel gouged on muzzle

    1. These Schuster styled concentricity gauges are still available on ebay etc. 2. McMaster-Carr close tolerance rods for few bucks, as a custom gauge dimension-ed to your specific barrel bore size. Geissele uses "minute-of-eyeball" reference with his alignment rods.

K-Bars Kabar on belt via molle.

I like to use Safariland ELS quick disconnect gear with Blue Force Malice clips which fit thru the MOLLE loops; or you can directly mount the ELS to your kit.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Guns and coffee

Just acquired a new-in-the box SA/DA shrouded hammer Smith & Wesson Model 49 no dash 1971-72 with mystical "floating J" serial number. The J-frame serial numbers prior, had the "J" leading the numbers. Apparently in 1971-72 S&W used up all their available sequenced j-frame serial numbers, so...

It must just be me. Why the heck would anyone want to possibly punish their rifle barrel with ammunition one cannot even read its labeling? Have a friend run a few hundred rounds of same ammo thru their rifle and report back.

Sidearms & Scatterguns So I have this Knife

As a surgeon I can tell you with authority, the the vertical height of the blade edge to saw tooth edge already created a soft tissue passage on the entrance wound, the soft tissues are pliable enough that upon withdrawal of the knife the saw teeth will not re-engage the tissues, unlike a barb...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Mossberg 930 issue.

It's been well-established that compressed springs for many years of storage in pistol, rifle, shotgun magazines does not affect the spring functionality; spring cycling rates and repetitiveness is what wears out a compressed spring. https://www.shootingillustrated.com/content There are...

Best AR caliber for hog hunting with supressor

I use this 6.8 for Florida hogs inside 200 meters. It is pretty good for paper punching @ 500 meters with simple box ammunition.

    Opinions on suppressor/projectile clearances

Should be fine. You can purchase tight tolerance rods from McMaster Carr, several feet for a few bucks. Get the dimension you need to align the suppressor with bore. I have the std. Geissele sized alignment rods but have mad a number of others for different calibers. Even Geissele...
