    Suppressors First round flyers

My theory is it is related to the "atmosphere" inside the can. Do this test: shoot one shot. Leave the bolt open and use a fan to blow air through the chamber and out the muzzle for 1 min. Shoot another shot and repeat through 5 shots. If you're getting a consistent position on the gun...

AA batteries in your Coyote Call (Amazon Basics?)

Other than being very expensive, why not use lithium? They perform much better, especially in the cold. I don't get out a lot, but a set of Energizer Ultimate Lithium AAs last me pretty much an entire season. Not sure how many sets of cheap alkaline I would go through, but total price might...

    Oryx Bipod has launched!

I did a quick review on this since, when I was researching, there wasn't a whole lot about it on the tubes:

Member Link Up North Dakota Shooters?

You're not going to find a prairie dog within a few hundred miles of Fargo. Also, not sure of the legality around shooting down some random dirt road, but the local land owners may not be too impressed. Your best bet is to find some public land to shoot on. Not much of that near Fargo either.

    Oryx Bipod has launched!

I don't have a Magpul to compare to. There's a tiny amount of forward and back play in the legs when deployed. There's also a tiny bit of additional forward and back play added between the main leg and the extension as you extend them. I can't really perceive much side-to-side play at all. To...

    Hornadys new ELD VT

Where are people getting the 62s? I have notifications set up on a few sites (Midway, Brownells, Grafs, etc), but have only got one email from Midway where I was apparently too slow. Also, has anyone seen any of the VTs for other calibers in the wild? Seems like they're focusing on loaded...

My brother (Skeletor) is running a 24" 22 Creed. It looks really short because it's a Desert Tech SRS (bullpup). I'm running a 22" 6 Creed AR10.

Hunting & Fishing Let’s start a coyote thread.

Really odd weekend. In the daylight we had several pairs and singles flying in to howls and mating stuff. In the dark, we saw yotes within calling range on every set and none of them gave a shit. Here's one of two triples.

    Oryx Bipod has launched!

I just picked one of these up. I like it so far. It has a slightly cradled interface that has rubber like grippy stuff on it that should work well on either rounded or flat forends, as long as they aren't super narrow. It has a knob to tighten it down, so you can snug it up as much as you...

    Coyote rifle help

Often what's left out, or at least glossed over in these discussions is bullet selection. To me, it can be more important than cartridge selection. Yes, every bullet will kill, but some do it much quicker than others. I've absolutely crushed coyotes with a 16" 223 shooting the 50 grain v-max...

    22 creedmoor

@6brshooter I think the 95 SMK is just not for you. I would pick a shorter / lighter bullet. And I wouldn't worry so much about getting close to the lands. I'm jumping the 75 ELDM a mile and it hammers.

Hunting & Fishing Let’s start a coyote thread.

Was out Friday night. Did 4 sets and called in a single on 3 of them, all with howls and other coyote vocals. Only killed one because my hunting buddies are... a bit green yet.

Hunting & Fishing Let’s start a coyote thread.

I had a similar experience last week here in SE ND, where it's also been unusually warm. First set I did 3 different howls and had 3 yotes come in a hurry. Buddy messed it up, but that's a different story. I thought I had it figured out. We did 3 more sets and had yotes howling on every set...

Official (DTA) SRS, HTI, Covert, Hunter Thread

With my 6.5 Creed DTA I'm getting 3017 fps with a 26" barrel using the 140 ELDM and RL26. I'm pretty sure that's a bit hot, but I'm not seeing any noticeable pressure signs. It is a little tough to get 47 grains in a Lapua case with room for a bullet though.
