IMO, it comes down to which one shoots better in your rifle. I've shot a case of prime and working on a case of hornady. They both performed equally in the club matches I've been shooting. Both were 1/2ish MOA when zeroing and both held calculated drops. FWIW, my third case will be Hornady...

Thank you. I think the issue may be with the distance vision location. I find myself looking through the very top of the lens. I think on the next set I will ask them to put the close up stuff at the very bottom, and not do progressive.
I finally broke down and actually admitted I need bifocals about 6 months ago. I had a set made up with HD/Progressive lenses. They work great except I've noticed that I'm not seeing as well through scopes. I'm wondering if it isn't the nature of the progressive lens. I KNOW there are folks out...
Along with Ryan's thread protectors (which work great), I'm considering trying some of these. https://www.therodglove.com/site/shop/category/260 looks like the stuff that barrel blanks come in but heavier duty. With threads protected, I'd say the concern would be the finish only?
