    Don't waste your time uniforming the primer pockets. It's a waste of time. And you can skip the SS tumbling and just tumble them in some corn cob with polish.     Just curious as to whether anyone knows the load for the Hornady Precision Hunter 30-06? My bolt gun absolutely loves that ammo and I'd love to replicate it. Primer and powder are a mystery to me.

    What kind of brass? Those charges out to tell you what it likes. However, I would start at the minimum and work up to max in .5 increments. You're rifle may like the low node. Then you can fine tune in .2 increments to hone in on "The Load."

    Ok. Apparently it wasn't obvious enough. My brass measured 1.934" base-shoulder before I sized it. I set the die to where it does not bump the shoulder. Therefore, the base-shoulder measurement is 1.934".
