Crimp AR10 Loads?

I am working loads up for my .308 AR10. It is a Sig 716 DMR (18" barrel piston gun). I did not crimp the first batch of loads and everything seemed OK. However, I also did not pull out a chambered round & measure it's length to see if the bullet was pushed back or not. I plan on firing off some more rounds today (that also will not be crimped), but will pull out & measure the COAL.

Is crimping recommended?

I've had 1 AR10 since '99 and my second for a year now and never crimped a load yet. Use a Redding bushing die for sizing but don't remember which bushing or how much tension I use- less tension than a standard die though.

I don't crimp any of my cartridges, except for 45ACP and 9mm. Never had a problem through my 5.56 ar, M1A, or M1 in 30-06.

I don't crimp either. No need to if your neck tension is right.

I've never had to crimp in my RRA LAR-8.
