New Smart Scope From Schmidt & Bender

plus, if the Vortex smart scope actually delivers what’s promised, then it will a huge leap in capability for the soldiers. Seen in that light, it’s almost a bargain. Especially considering that a Hellfire is considered a reasonable option for taking out an enemy soldier. Hopefully, these...

Night Vision FLIR ADUNS demo units

Since it’s the NV equivalent of a shiny unicorn erect penis, it’s gonna be pricy, but how much? Is this why Horta isn’t as active anymore? I guess he’s out on the street, turning his ass to cash!

    Night Vision Photonis PD-Pro-B review

Will the 5G be available for civilians? Since it’s so different from legacy systems, will 5G then only come as a complete unit (housing, specialty lenses to accommodate the extended bandwidth)?

Rifle Scopes New Schmidt & Bender PM2 6-36x56

Better in Denmark, we can just go to a gunshop and buy a suppressor. The dealer will register the sale with the police. Only caveat is that you can only buy suppressors if you have a hunting permit. We have our locally designed suppressors, costing 200$ including threading the barrel. No...

Rifle Scopes New Schmidt & Bender PM2 6-36x56

I know why - it’s fucking payback for ITAR. You guys keep all the good tubes for yourself, while only exporting FOM reduced crap to the other side of the pond. There you have it - it’s a FOM reduced scope. Only the sophisticated parts of the world can handle the true power of S&B scopes.

Rifle Scopes New Schmidt & Bender PM2 6-36x56

I don’t get it, wth would they make a different version for each side of the pond? From a economic perspective it doesn’t make any sense, unless it has something to do with parts being manufactured stateside to a inferior spec, and in that case, why even bother bringing it to market and risking...

    Night Vision LWTS vs UTM

True story. If you perform the ritual, but make a pentagram of MRE milkshake powder and meatloaf, he’s immediately summoned into any muddy waters in his vicinity… I tried it once, worked like a charm.

    Night Vision Photonis PD-Pro-B review

I remember back in the day, there were a few pictures floating around of a specialty tube with red phosphor. As I recall, it was a Litton.

Is the resolution being pushed higher, or is spectral range sensitivity where the progress is being made?

    Objective lenses larger than 56mm

Only tried the 72mm Hensoldt once. I’m still dreaming about finding one used for a reasonable price. The optical design is outdated, but it is still the biggest wow factor I’ve ever encountered.
