    Bullet variations

    I used a comparator to measure the ogive to base on a box of 140gr SMK and 143 ELDX in 6.5 and there was a lot of variation on this measurement! I was shocked at the differences. Now I gotta start measuring and sorting bullets!

    TAC Powder in the 223 ??

    23.1gr TAC under a 77gr SMK is currently my Savage 10 load and 23.4gr TAC under a 75gr Hornady OTM is the go to load in my Dads Savage. Both are model 10's, but his is a shorter bull barrel and mine is a longer Predator barrel, but are 2.25" OAL. I got these recipes online and haven't tried...

    bergara bolt shroud problems

    Email Bergara; if you have one in 6.5 Creedmoor, they will send you a different bolt shroud for free. It is supposedly an issue with small primers in the 6.5 and handloads, but I had it happen in 6.5 Creedmoor with large primer and handloads.

    Rifle Scopes Athlon Optics -New Reticle for 2018

    Any word on the Midas TAC 6-24 availability? My Mueller just busted on my Bergara HMR, so I need a new scope. Was looking at the Helos, but the Midas TAC may be better since I don't need illuminated reticle.
