    thanks k-tech thats especially valuable data 1.5" sounds about reasonable to expect then. Yeah I dont really even think of the m14 like that- sub moa doesnt mean much to me. 100-600 yards functionally accurate is good nuff to take advantage of that 7.62 cartridge

    After some reading I think Im gonna get an RCBS case mic. Mic the cases I fire (with the gas system off) to see what theyre expanding to. Then set my die to .002 smaller than that mic'ced measurement

    thanks for the suggestion might be a good deal if I lived in the US. My other scope is actually MOA so I like the idea of sticking with MOA- and maybe just use the mil dots as an moa reticle using the suggestion above. GUYS Im glad we had this talk thanks.
