thanks k-tech thats especially valuable data 1.5" sounds about reasonable to expect then. Yeah I dont really even think of the m14 like that- sub moa doesnt mean much to me. 100-600 yards functionally accurate is good nuff to take advantage of that 7.62 cartridge
norinco barreled action. I aint rebarreling it already spent too much. ill see how it shoots and if it isnt around 1.5-2moa Ill sell the norinco and get another. they go for $420 up here in Canada and Ill be able to get my money back for sure. KVPW you're right ammo dependant for sure- Just...
Hey folks- just finishing work on a norinco I bought. Wanted to know what I should reasonably expect for accuracy after all this (fun) work. Mainly so I know whether the barreled action is anygood and if I should sell/try a new one. - Norinco barreled action - bedded USGI stock, handguard...
Hey folks- I have a couple scopes I would like to switch between 2 rifles for hunting and range playing. Im looking for a pair of rings that I can easily take on and off(not QD type they are too heavy I am cool with using an alan key) , are reasonably light, and decent opinions appreciated!
So I prolly spend too much time on the net and tend to find videos/ressources that are either dealing with 1,000 yard sniping or bipod techniques- Ive had a hard time finding stuff that would be useful for me. I am currently teaching myself how to hunt and want to make sure I am very...
yeah he threatens that the buckles will release in the cold...too bad Im hunting in Canada :) might have to pony up for the elite...prolly wont though and just take the chance.
I used the search function and learned alot about slings here- still super unsure! First of all- what advantages do the loop slings have over just a standard sling for my m14? I'm no pro but I do get better accuracy from slinging up just with a standard nylon sling- how is the loop sling any...
After some reading I think Im gonna get an RCBS case mic. Mic the cases I fire (with the gas system off) to see what theyre expanding to. Then set my die to .002 smaller than that mic'ced measurement
thanks for the suggestion might be a good deal if I lived in the US. My other scope is actually MOA so I like the idea of sticking with MOA- and maybe just use the mil dots as an moa reticle using the suggestion above. GUYS Im glad we had this talk thanks.
Im no pro- though I have read a bit about these rifles. bolt closes on a 308 no go gauge and the only rounds I have to reload for her are 308, no access to 7.62 brass like you guys in the states have. *Canada*. So what do I do- sell it and move on or what? I prolly shouldnt reload 308 for it...
Im new to this game but I aspire to be able to place some ar500 targets I bought at ranges out to 800 yards and make hits. I want to get good with my rifle but not really into competition- more wanting absolute confidence when hunting within effective range of my 308- rem 700 LTR I have-...
Looking for something around $500 that will be servicable. AO is important because it will be shared by a 308 700 LTR and my cz 452 in 22lr. I want something I can crank up unreasonably high as I already have a decent 1.5-8x for hunting. This is for bipod use. its available in mil dot, bdc...
