Re: Is my 308 chamber short? Because I handload for several calibers, I bought the tap and drill and had a local machine shop drill and tap some fired cases, problem solved.

Re: Is my 308 chamber short? If you are using a Hornady modified case to measure with, take a #20 sledge to it. The Hordady modified case for my 300WSM almost drove me to drink thinking my chamber was to short.
