    308 AR10 Build Info/Picture Thread

    I reload. 43.5grs of H4350 under a 123gr ELD-M is very accurate and scooting along about 2600fps. Working on Barnes 127gr LRX and Nosler 129gr LRAB loads. Just a fun little project. Most all my hunting will be less than 500 yards, so don't need anything too heavy.

    I'm running a carbine tube, spring, short AR10 buffer and I believe SLR adjustable gas block. So far it runs great.

    AR 10 Advice

    I built mine with a 16" W.C. 6.5CM barrel with the intermediate gas tube and adjustable gas block. I only have 50rds thru it, but love it so far. I am shooting suppressed tho. I'll keep an eye on the gas tube issue tho. Never heard of it and learn something new everyday.

    Pew science is your friend. I have the Enticer S that I shoot everything 30 cal and down thru. Awesome can. I don't see the Nomad on this list, but I'm pretty sure he has tested it.

    I was able to shed a pound off just by going to a different scope and stock. As it sits in these pics, I'm at 9.7lbs. Scope is a 2-10x30 Monstrum FFP. Inexpensive and nice for what it is. I don't a need 24 power scope for 500 yards and less. Lol

    Oh yeah. Super nice and expensive. I can build almost 3 PSA AR10's for the cost of one of those, but they sure are nice. The Ruger SFAR is basically the same thing.

    I've had several AR10 type rifles in the past and always got rid of them because of the weight. I decided to build a lighter weight AR10/AR308 pattern rifle and it came in at 7.8lbs bare, 10.4lbs loaded. I can't complain. Great shooter and very handy.

    Suppressors Suppressor for AR15 multi cal

    I have the 308 cal Enticer S and love it. I shoot 300 PRC down to 22lr thru it and, for the money, it's hard to beat. Look up Pewscience.com for Suppressor tests and ratings. Some very interesting data. Good luck to ya.

    Just curious about a rectangular plot of land southeast of Austin TX

    I'm also SE of Austin in the Lockhart area, but work all over the Austin area. This is most likely a spot of land that is farmed/ranched. There is very little public hunting land in the Austin area, mostly all private. It is kinda cool how it "sticks" out from the norm.
