Re: $99 USGI Mags @ Cheaper Than Dirt I've already emailed them and let them know that I would never be making another purchase from them again. gouged prices or not.
Re: Pepper Spray for daughter at college? fyi, using bear spray on someone is tantamount to lethal force. So you better be afraid for your life if you use it. Its not designed for personal defense and I'm sure a civil suit would rip you a new one.
Re: Pepper Spray for daughter at college? My wife carried a small can of OC in her purse while taking her masters program. Like I told her, if you need it, it'll sure be better to have it even if its "illegal" on campus. If you don't need it, who's gonna know. She kept it in its own pocket...
Re: iPhone or iPod touch ballistic programs Ballistic AE. One stop shop as long as you have Internet it will get your local weather information and is stored with your zero. You create a trajectory by inputting all your specs, on the weather tab you click the upside down teardrop which auto...
Re: Help with 308 load question Azimutha, thanks for your help. I shot 100, 300, 600 and 615 yesterday. Turns out, my zero at 100 was shooting almost 1/2" high. I zero'd the rifle to absolute zero, shot 300 with 4.5 dialed in per jbm and hit center bull at 300. Went out to 600 and 615 and...
Re: Decent rangefinder on modest budget? I bought an arc 1300. While the ballistic calculations are a bit gimmicky the angle finder and ranging appear to work very well. I can range tree lines to about 850 and hard objects to over 1000. I got over 1200 on a car on the highway. Bang for the...
Re: AirSoft question Shooting a round ball is inherently inaccurate. Dry fire your real rifle will give you better practice than shooting airsoft. Now I could see cqc practice with an airsoft pistol. They make some amazingly reproduced pistols.
Re: Help with 308 load question Junction, 2200 feet few degrees cooler than houston. I never thought about checking my scope. I guess I could run up 4.5 at 100 and verify that I'm not geting more than that pretty easily. Its a nightforce 3.5x15 so I hope the scope is good. I will try...
Re: Help with 308 load question one other thing to note, the 200 yard target was actually 208 and the 300 was 301 lazed. The only reason I mention that is it supports the fact that i was dead on at 200 if my velocity was indeed 2700. I was dialed in 1.75 and jbm says 200 is 1.7 at 2700fps.
