Another vote for the 155 A-max behind IMR-4895 or W748 I also use the Hornady 150 FMJBT inside 300 yards for cheap plinking, holds MOA in some worn out PPU brass still
Was a good deal last time and still a good deal this time. Unfortunately the panic hit 2-3 weeks after this sale and Dick's is on my(and many others) shit list. They can keep em. Dicks can burn to the ground/
I shot 2K plus of the wolf .223 specific primers the last 6 months or so, zero issues in a few different AR's and about 500 through a M85 PAP. I specifically shoot their SPP in 9mm/.357/9mm mak with little to no issues. The Mak has lightened springs and can be finicky sometimes. Their LPP are...
Considerably cheaper at Natchez http://www.natchezss.com/product.cfm...9&src=exrbSrch Must be catching up with demand, or some LARGE shipments came in. Powder Valley got them in as well, their prices are higher then Natchez
I would attempt to test case capacity first. Fill up a case and level off the top. Weigh what you have, maybe do this with different headstamps to get an idea what accepts the most powder. As for the crunch, its called that for a reason. You will hear it usually when you are compressing a load...
If you are worried about crunch from trailboss you can always try red dot. Your FPS seems really low, I would keep working up a load with the trailboss until you run out of room in the case. It does suck that you have to "waste" bullets but it's all part of load development
I have played with steel cased reloads for .45 ACP. I figured its low enough pressure that the case should be able to handle it. I have only shot about 20 of them in a 1911 but they all went bang and there were no feeding or extraction issues. Would I do it regularly? maybe, if I had enough...
Might help if you list the rifle and the caliber. What bullet and powders you have available. You can do a lot of searching on OCW/ladder tests but you just need to get out there and just do it. SAFETY is the most important part in reloading, don't over look anything! Like previously...
Keep track of your loads... Write them down in a book or log them on your computer. Start low and work your way up. I like to start with the books suggestion on OAL, run a ladder test(or whatever test you prefer). Load 3-5 of each at the starting load. Bump the powder from .03-.05gr on each...
With the long throat on most Remington rifles you should be able to get away with it, if that's just what you are trying to do... But, the only real advantage to this is how your rifle reacts to jump or no jump. I think for the most part tweaking powder, good brass preparation technique and...
Check out some spots in Gunnison National forest, I am not sure the exact distance from Denver but I think you can do something inside of 2 hours from Down town Denver. Also don't discredit going to a local gun shop and asking around, I am sure people will have a better idea of where to and not to
