Considering trading in 700 for AR10... thoughts?

Re: Considering trading in 700 for AR10... thoughts? I have exactly what you are talking about. It was put together by Accuracy Systems and shoots sub .75 consistantly. It is a great rifle, and we are using them in the field. The newer shooters seem to prefer them, while the older shooters...

    Gunbroker sucker.....or not?

Re: Gunbroker sucker.....or not? The problem with the buy it now feature is they do not have to answer you. I purchased a bunch of .223 ammo from a seller on GB and they never responded to my emails, PMs or other attempts to contact. I sent a heads up to the GB adminstrator saying this...

Re: .30-06 moose load I agree with 1shot2kill. 180 Swift A frame. I have shot several moose and caribou with this bullet and it works.

    Hunting & Fishing removed

Re: Elk bullet opinions I like the 160 Nosler Partition and the Swfit A Frame. They hold together, penetrate well and mushroom consistently. I have no experience with the Berger. In the 7mm mag. I have only killed a moose with Accubonds in the 7mm and they did not penetrate well.

Hunting & Fishing Red dot for muzzleloader?

Re: Red dot for muzzleloader? I had good luck with the actual TC model scopes. I have a red dot recoil proof on a .45/70 Contender that is 10 years old and has never failed. In a handgun with the loads I use it generates stiff recoil.

Hunting & Fishing who uses Shooting Sticks?

Re: who uses Shooting Sticks? The newest Bog Pods are really nice, and I have always been partial to Harris Bipods. I always zero my rifle with the bipod because I have seen zeros change regardless of what the package says.

Hunting & Fishing Anyone ever hunted game in Russia?

Re: Anyone ever hunted game in Russia? I have hunted Russia a few times and used to book clients there for Safari Expeditions Russia and Nikolai Khoklov. We had a pretty good run with bears and moose in the Siberian interior as well as Kamchatka, and Sakhalin Island. I noticed the quality of...

Need some help with my Ruger

Re: Need some help with my Ruger Rule yourself out first and then check your action screws and your scope mount screws, make sure they are secure. Try different ammunition types, weights, and let your barrel cool on the UL. I have a Weatherby that sends a flier every 3rd round when the barrel...

    need a flinching cure

Re: need a flinching cure I can only speak to my suggestion about why something with less recoil. The original post said he had been away from shooting for some time. As a confidence builder my suggestion was to simply shoot something smaller like a .22 for practice and master some rifle...

    ideas for a rem700 375hh action...

Re: ideas for a rem700 375hh action... You can leave the sight on the front and still add the brake, no problem. You can do alot with this round, but everyone has their preferences. If you ever sell it instead let me know. All the best!

    Benelli M4 or Mossberg 590

Re: Benelli M4 or Mossberg 590 M4 light, fast, easy to handle, digests anything, reliable wet, dry, and dirty. Mossberg, I would rather have one of these than some other brands, but there is no comparison with it and the M4.
