Re: .30-06 moose load I agree with 1shot2kill. 180 Swift A frame. I have shot several moose and caribou with this bullet and it works.

Re: Elk bullet opinions I like the 160 Nosler Partition and the Swfit A Frame. They hold together, penetrate well and mushroom consistently. I have no experience with the Berger. In the 7mm mag. I have only killed a moose with Accubonds in the 7mm and they did not penetrate well.

Re: Red dot for muzzleloader? I had good luck with the actual TC model scopes. I have a red dot recoil proof on a .45/70 Contender that is 10 years old and has never failed. In a handgun with the loads I use it generates stiff recoil.

Re: who uses Shooting Sticks? The newest Bog Pods are really nice, and I have always been partial to Harris Bipods. I always zero my rifle with the bipod because I have seen zeros change regardless of what the package says.

Re: need a flinching cure I can only speak to my suggestion about why something with less recoil. The original post said he had been away from shooting for some time. As a confidence builder my suggestion was to simply shoot something smaller like a .22 for practice and master some rifle...

Re: ideas for a rem700 375hh action... You can leave the sight on the front and still add the brake, no problem. You can do alot with this round, but everyone has their preferences. If you ever sell it instead let me know. All the best!

Re: Benelli M4 or Mossberg 590 M4 light, fast, easy to handle, digests anything, reliable wet, dry, and dirty. Mossberg, I would rather have one of these than some other brands, but there is no comparison with it and the M4.
