    9mm powder for defensive rounds

    BEST 9mm SD is going to be a 147gr HP under 6.9gr of Vihtavouri 3N38, it shooter a 147gr 9mm HP at 1207 fps out of a 4 inch barrel! That's 200 fps better than Blue dot or long shot.     Need some guidance on 308 load using 175's

    Different rifles like Different powder n bullets try 168gr 190gr and 200gr you have a 20 inch barrel so try some CFE223 and AR-COMP. I recommend Winchester headstamp brass it has an extra 2gr H20 capacity. Its the only brass I use!

    average cost of getting set up to reload

    For match rifle get a good single stage press and Google ur dies. I use redding full length small base to size, and a Forrester micrometer to seat (redding micrometers blow out w one compressed load!) Redding also came out with a taper crimp micrometer die.

    The most accurate loads will be hand made, a proficient sniper will know every grain thats in that case, which he will prep. I use a 16 inch barrel so I have AA5744 which is a super fast burning powder, its position insensitive and needs 10 grains less than the avg powder yet is the same...
