Loading 7-08ai with .260ai Redding S series neck bushing die?

I neck turn my brass to .309" so not a lot to hone out to let the neck through to the bushing.

Loading 7-08ai with .260ai Redding S series neck bushing die?

I'm after some reloading die advice on loading my 7-08ai. I have a standard set 7-08ai dies but they produce excessive neck tension. So I want to use the Redding S series neck bushing dies to get better control over neck tension and maybe improve accuracy a bit. Redding S series 7-08ai...

    ok, im building a 375!

I've seen a few builds like this and they had a couple of issues with the XLR stocks. The inlet is not real good for the Stiller actions. Both a tac 408 and a Tac 300 had the bolt handle hitting the recess and gouging a chunk out of it under recoil. Also the recoil lug on the Tac 408 did not...

    Other 50's

Thanks for the info. I have ordered .510" Gibbs dies from CH4d and a custom accuracy reamer from PTG. The .510" Gibbs is 3mm longer than a .408 Cheytac necked up to .510" Should go ok. If I can get 2400fps with a 750gn Hornady A-Max I will be happy. I already shoot a .375 Cheytac barrel with...

    Other 50's

Just wondering if anyone here has played with other .50 cal cartridges apart from the .50 BMG for ELR shooting. I am thinking of using a Stiller Tac 408 action to build a .510" calibre wildcat based on the Cheytac series of cartridges. This would use the parent .505 Gibbs case from Bertram that...

    375 SnipeTac hangfires

What about 20N29 or 24N41 powders? They may be more available in the Netherlands???

    375 SnipeTac hangfires

Try another powder. 50BMG would be what I would try with those pills. It works ok in my .375 CT with 375gn bullets.

    Your ELR Reloads

Bigwheels, I perfected my loading with a .284 Winchester in 1200 yard and 1500 yard F-Open competition. The lessons I learnt from this I then applied to my .375 cheytac, .338 RUM and .338 Edge. The smaller .284 is an ideal testing cartridge, what you see with it at 1200 yards can then be used...

    Your ELR Reloads

I try an keep my loads as uniform as possible without getting anal. Some things are more important than others. Consistent powder charge is very important. The right clearance between the brass neck and chamber neck is important to reduce vertical. The right amount of neck tension and consistent...

    375CT SAAMI Soon?

I have the same issue when FL sizing Bertram brass that had been fired in a custom chamber cut with a standard PTG .375 Cheytac reamer. The dies I use are a CH4D .375 Cheytac FL two die set. Seems I have to use very little lube in the shoulder area or this collapsing of the shoulder will occur...

    .300WM 1-13 twist

I can get to 1200 with 155gn target bullets out of my .308 with 1 : 12 twist so you should get there easy with a 1 : 13 twist and a .300 WM

375 Cheytac....IT'S ALIVE, RANGE REPORT TO FOLLOW!!

138gn 50BMG gives about 2970 fps with the 375gn RMB and great accuracy. 132gn Retumbo gives about 3070fps in my rifle with 350gn SMK.

What do you consider the most essential gear for ELR?

I think that a quality rangefinder is most important. It the modern rangefinder than has made accurate ELR shooting possible. Without a quality rangefinder you can make do with a good GPS to measure your distance practice shooting so long as access to the target is possible. Next is your rifle...
