I'm really liking the specs on the 3-15x44 with FFP. I really think it would serve me as a well rounded deer/coyote scope as well as a solid long range scope for the ranges I'll be shooting.
Congratulations on your new scope! This will be a huge purchase for me as well, I've never paid over $500 for one. I'm already looking over my initial budget of $1500 (max). With that being said,I may save for a while more and get the 3-18 gen II razor. This may be the only time I own a scope of...
Thank you for the insight. I hear really good things about that SHV line as well. I have no doubts it would suit all my needs, especially with it being first focal plane.
Thanks for the feedback! You aren't the first person that has really had great things to say about that Bushnell line of scopes. I'm really wanting to look through one real soon. It may be all I need and at a good price for the budget.
Thanks for the info. on the new PST II. I'm liking the price to performance ratio of that new lineup. I'm really thinking you are correct in thinking the razor 3-18 may be really too much scope for my "usual" shooting ranges. The price difference really could get me some good mounts and a kilo...
Hey thanks for the sound advice. I'm actually still trying to make my mind up on this overwhelming decision. I'm starting to lean towards the razor hd gen II in the 3-18. I'm really just fooling myself thinking I'll be shooting past 300 yards very often. I really will be in the 200 to 300 range...
Sport optics is a good vendor. I've talked to a a fellow by the name of Chris there recently about various scope options. He's very helpful with details and advice, very competitive pricing too.
I finally got a chance to look through a vortex razor gen II scope the other day. Grant it, it wasn't the 3-18 I'm leaning towards getting , it was the 1-6... All I have to say is WOW, I was astounded by the pop and clarity of the glass on this optic! It was like a "heads up display" effect...
Great review, good job! I'm currently very close to getting a Gen II RAZOR and this test just makes me want one that much more. I'm just trying to decide between the 3-18 or 4-27...mainly for budget reasons and distance I have access to shoot.
That 5-20 would be ideal as well, I like the price point too. I'll look into them as well. I was wondering, everyone says the gen II razor eyebox/relief is awesome,as well as excellent glass. How would you say the Gen I compares in these areas?
