Take a magic marker, draw a line on the shoulder your brass and on the case web. Just chamber a fired round and see if it's tight on the web, or the shoulder, or both. Also try it on a sized piece. One factor to consider on the desert tech is the 3 lug bolt design. It's really nice as far as...

I did get an email with a shipping notification. So we'll see but I'm guessing a new bolt is on the way. Problems always arise but they sure make it hard to deal with in comparison to other companies.

Ha, another round of dumb ass emails and excuses from dt. How the warranty manager needs me to send more parts so they can inspect them to make sure the bolt they manufactured with a chamfer around the firing pin hole is the problem. I sent a nice email back explaining the importance of...

There's no reason for an intervention from another party. Another round of emails today, an incompetence on dt part to replace a part they manufactured incorrectly. The few hundred bucks to buy another bolt is a bargain in comparison to buying more rifles from them in the future.

I know. But I'm just going to guess today they'll want $50 for an inspection fee, and $15 to send me my bolt back. If im lucky . Maybe they'll ask for $50 ospe, and $50 cleaning and return shipping. We'll see. I'm really good at drinking and insulting people. And I can even be good at...

Several years back, a neighbor bought an SRS a1 on a desert tech close out deal when the a2 was coming out. He got a .473 bolt or .308 type bolt head as well as a lapua bolt. I did some barrels for it, but nothing for the .308 bolt. I bought that bolt when I bought my srs a1. I been using...

Cheytac is .640 diameter by face. Lapua is .585. the 50bmg bolt nose depth is deep to accommodate the web in the case. But on the cheytac bolt nose depth, or bolt face to end of bt vs the lapua type bolts on the SRS it's fine. They can run the same depth, which means firing pin is the same...

I'd like to see .585" diameter bolt head for the hti, or in other words .338 lapua size bolt face. For thoe of you who can't measure, I'll leave it at that. I don't care about magazine feeding those cartridges probably easy enough to make a bushing or magazine adapter to hold an existing...

SOLD WTB super cheap chronograph (<$100)

I have a Labradar I'm going to list to sell. It's not under $100 but for $150 shipped it's gone. Tripod, with it, and I probably have the original box and paperwork for it here. It ain't pretty, but it's a deal

Nightforce Wedge Prism 50 MOA or 100 MOA ???

You'll have enough reticle in the scope to dial, use hold over. With those setups, weather you're shooting mils or moa, let's do it this way. You have a total inclination of 40 moa between the rails and mount. Your scope has 120+ moa approximately. You'll have roughly 80 moa you can dial in...

I have about 30 k&p cut rifled barrel blanks in the closet. I just buy blanks, many at a time in the common calibers and twist rates and try to keep a couple of each on hand. I pick them up when I'm through town or have a friend transport. I bought an extra lathe follow rest for one of my...

I just machined out an arca rail and used all the screws, you're begging for trouble using 2-3 little 4mm threaded screws and a short rail. And made a aluminum magazine filler so it's flush with the bottom of the mag well and doesn't catch your bag manipulating hand

Sending a lead cored jacketed bullet fast doesn't pay. Standing on the powder charge just doesn't pay, I'd think of you keep these things in the very higher 2800's to the lower 2900's they're accurate, pressure isn't to high to degrade the brass and when the brass fails it gets hard on the hard...

The 32-33" barrels I did run 390 atips 2900 and 2920 easily but if I push them harder, the SD increases a bit and potentially the bolt could be hard to open sometimes. The 35.5" barrel runs an easy 2945. I had dialed 14 moa of wind and held another 18 moa during my string at the 2 mile target...

37xc works good. I wanted something I can travel easily with, fly somewhere, not pack a ton of gear. I got big stuff to run like 50bmg's, .460 Steyr, etc when I drive to a match. But as far as a 37xc I bought a desert tech for traveling pull the foam out of a short case, lay a shooting mat...
