Guess I was slow on the typing, I see the response above. I have one that I planned to do a build with, but like W54/XM said above if it’s a cost thing I paid like $529 for mine (full x change kit).
Sorry I wasn't clear, I didn't mean flop orientation from front to back. I meant flip the direction that the pin goes in from left to right. It seems like one side is smooth at the head and the other has a head with a lip for a stop.
I just got this blueprinted Rem 700 SA from PTG. When I was looking it over the front and rear trigger pins looked like they were installed backwards. The flat side is on the side of the bolt catch. When I go to swap out the trigger it looks like I would have to knock out the pins from the bolt...
Looking to put and upper on a LR-308 lower for shooting predators 500-800 yard shots. Looking to try to keep light as possible 7-8.5 lbs would be ideal. I have the stripped lower, lpk and geissele 2 stage trigger. If i could finish for around another $1k that would be nice. Any suggestions?
Trying to understand something pretty basic. With bolt actions there are long and short actions, with AR platforms there is the AR-15 and AR-10 platform. Why is the AR-10 receiver needed for cartridges like the .308 and the 6.5 CM when they fit a short action?
