I'm looking for a rear back up iron sight AR15 rifle standared F stamped front sight. I'd like a spring loaded rear sight that would lock in both the up and down position. I thought that Troy had one version that fits, and the ARMS is nice, but no lock. Which rear sight would you say is best...

Re: Vortex Flash Hider on a Boltgun? Thanks for your help; I was thinking of rebarreling my rifle. I like the idea of having it as a option and like you said maybe when I can afford a supressor. The only thing would be the dust it would kick up.

Not sure if there's been any testing done to see if the flash from a 308 boltgun would be reduced by using a Vortex flash hider. I was looking at a picture a M14 with a Vortex on it ? Anyone one here have a opinion

Re: Best reloading manual I'm trying to get this straight in my head; So is the reloading manual that I need linked to the brand of bullet I want to shoot,Seirra, Hornady, ect. Not one manual for all brands.

I've started thinking about reloading, a freind said he'd teach me but told me to get a book on reloading. Says he uses Hornady volume 8, but said to get the most current Hornady volume. He also said that's there other reloading books out there. So I'd like to ask you here what reloading manul...

like to know how to rmove a flash hider from a AR-15. I do not want to mar the black finish on the barrel, or on the old flash hider. So what tools do I need and any helpful suggestion. I was planning on installing another flash hider so could use some help with that. Thanks up front

Re: 223 brass in 5.56 chamber ? Yes thats my question . If shoot 223 ammuntion in a rifle chambered in a 5.56; then reload that same brass. Is it safe to shoot that reloaded brass in a rifle chambered in 223 ?

I shot 223 ammunition in a rifle chambered in a 5.56 . Will doing this fire form the brass to 5.56,or will it stay the way it was orginaly made 223. The reason for asking is I want to be sure that this brass can still be used safely in a rifle chambered 223, or only 5.56 from then on.

I'm looking for a small tripod to stuff in my pack that has sturdy legs with good clamps and solid head adapter for a rifle saddle. I own a bipod its short 6-9 in, would like somthing that would work for sitting or kneeling only, but small and compact PS where can I buy it.
