Re: 300 win mag action ADT, Looks like your in Texas. Academy Sports has Rem 700 ADL's for $ 349.00 ( I picked up 2) My store in N. Dallas had a 7mm mag but no 300WM ( same bolt head)anyway.
Re: Tube Guns? I'm leaning towards the Mak kit because it accepts ar15 stocks. The Eliseo tube gun only takes his proprietary stock Theres a write up on the new Magnum (300 win mag) Mak tube gun kit in the new ( march) Precision Shooting Magazine.
Re: remington 700 action I agree with the other two posts. If you must have a Rem 700 action, I paid $475.00 OTD yesterday for a Rem 700 Adl 7mm mag @ Academy Sports. I'll get approx $75-$100 for the takeoff stock & barrel. I now have approx $ 400.00 net for a new action. Plus remember...
Before I head out to pick up an Rem 700 donor action for my .338 EDGE build could anyone tell me for sure if the Rem 700 Mag bolt face & the RUM bolt face & actions are the same. I know the 7mm mag has a .532 rim & the 300 RUM has a .534 rim but assume they probably use the same bolt. Thanks
Re: Side charging LR 308? Try these two, I think they might be able to help http://accuracyspeaks.com/public_html/index.html Scott Medesha http://www.medeshafirearms.com/ I've used Derrick & his work was top notch,I,ve seen Scott's work which is also top notch.
Title says it all.. does anyone in the area have a recommendation for a local Dallas, tx smith to true my Rem 700 receiver. I'm new to the area, have used great smiths nationally, just wondered if there was someone here local. Thanks
Re: Barrel profile for AICS chassis Thanks guys, maybe doing it back asswords but was going to decide & get a barrel ordered while keeping all stock options open. Probably should actually decide on a caliber!( too many options) Thanks again .
Gathering parts for a new build, haven't yet decided upon a stock but want to keep all options open at this time. Is the AICS chassis designed for a certain barrel profile? Thanks
