    I dropped down to 82.1 to test seating depth started .050 from lands and also tried .030 and .070. This produced about 2910 avg velocity and a 26 ES for the five shots. Also started flattening the primers at .070.

    I ran an OCW test this weekend with the 230 A-tip and saw results similar to yours. 84.5 gave me 2980 fps and pressure signs with the primers. It also had the lowest velocity spread.

    I actually used AI to crawl the threads and websites and it came up with 86-87 grains too but I didn’t want to put all my faith in that. I hadn’t originally planned on going much over 85 so I guess I’ll just keep an eye out as I work up.

    I’ve been running the same load in my .308 for years now using FC brass. Getting ready to switch over to Lapua and I’m curious to see what differences I notice with it.

    Now you got me thinking. I was only thinking of seating force as a product of the neck tension but I guess annealing would make a difference too for how hard the brass fought the expanding of pressing the bullet in. What’s the lube for? Using it on the necks for sizing?

    AXSR action bolts issue

    They sent a return label right away and I dropped it off to be shipped this morning. I’m curious to see what the fix ends up being. I’m in deep with this thing at this point so I just want it fixed right so I can get the kind of results out of it that it’s supposed to give.
