Load development struggles
First time doing load development with a magnum. I’m not an expert but I shoot a lot, dry fire a lot and yes my reticle tracks and returns to the target and I’m generally able to call my shots when I make mistakes. lol. Yeah I could be over committed to these 230s I guess. Looks good on paper and I'm trying to work this load up for a trip out west this summer for some ELR shooting. Early results were looking promising.- WVshooter

Accessories AXSR 338 LM barrel for sale.
For Sale: AI 338 Lapua Magnum barrel for AXSR/MC 27” length, 3/4-24 threads, black finish. I got this brand new from Mile High with a rifle and some other stuff. I put ten rounds of Hornady 285 ELDM through it. Decided to just keep the 30 cals. $875 shipped.- WVshooter

300 Norma H-1000 max?
I dropped down to 82.1 to test seating depth started .050 from lands and also tried .030 and .070. This produced about 2910 avg velocity and a 26 ES for the five shots. Also started flattening the primers at .070.- WVshooter

I ran an OCW test this weekend with the 230 A-tip and saw results similar to yours. 84.5 gave me 2980 fps and pressure signs with the primers. It also had the lowest velocity spread.- WVshooter

I actually used AI to crawl the threads and websites and it came up with 86-87 grains too but I didn’t want to put all my faith in that. I hadn’t originally planned on going much over 85 so I guess I’ll just keep an eye out as I work up.- WVshooter
