    I originally suspected headspace issue, but the live rounds before firing can chamber and unchamber smoothly. It is only sticky after the rounds have been fired.

    It could be the Norma bass, but I had no sticky bolt issues when I load 43gr of IMR 4064 into the same brass. Strange.

    Savage LRP short chamber???

    FGMM 175gr and Black Hills 168gr both got separated and bullet stuck in chamber. Norma 168gr works fine. I think both Norma and Black Hills are using 168gr SMK, so I am a bit puzzled by why one of them does not fit while the other works fine.

    I have it threaded and installed a JP muzzle brake by a gunsmith. The gunsmith told me he did not take the barrel off the action, because he got enough room to thread the barrel with the action on.

    There is another thing about the short throat...I found that using only 42gr of IMR4064 I am getting 2740fps MV with the 175gr SMK. That seems like pretty hot. I am new to reloading but I guess shorter throat causes higher pressure, right?
