This is huge! Being far removed from farming, I had no idea this was even going on. What bullshit! That is a great video and a worthy cause. It’s not often that the people actually have a champion and win one.

That’s awesome, but more because you know god damn well this was going to become a thing with big auto.
It already is to some extent. Sure, you can buy a code reader to diagnose some of the thousands of things that can go wrong with todays multi-computer controlled vehicles. Just don’t expect good results with something complicated. Any of the readers that are affordable are restricted to top level and maybe secondary level operations and easy fixes. For everything else, you need to take it to a dealer, who has the only access to things like transmission codes and other low-level issues.
It’s been like that for almost twenty years now.
Maybe, but there are already dealers that will sell parts to the public. Add to that the likelihood of aftermarket parts that are sure to be offered. As with anything else, the market will provide, even if it gets off to a shaky start.
There is a huge side work gig for the CAT and JD techs around here......who make good money doing it but nothing like the way the dealers rape you.
