Meh. It’s connected to a GFCI receptacle so it should trip before anyone gets hurt. Doesn’t mean it won’t be constantly tripped however

True, but the extra cord, combined with the wide open wall including some existing drywall anchors, was more than I could take.

It's a soap dispenser that someone decided was a hand dryer, Hand dryers I installed required 240 volts.
