What is the name of that guy that is serving life in California. You know the one that has killed two of his cellmates because they were pedophiles? Can we transfer him for a couple years? If it takes that long.
They'll put him in PC but with him being a rope smoker it won't matter.

Don't know if it's the same guy, but I just heard about one inmate who killed a pedo, then on his way to the Warden's office to (voluntarily) confess, he iced another pedo because he figured "in for a penny, in for a pound."
As of yet there are no charges for these, and he was told by prison officials a confession wouldn't be necessary

30 years for DUI..?? Even if no one has hurt? Even if there was no wreck involved? Well over half of the damn 'hide would be felons LOL...
Be nice to get a honest show of hands here, on who has driven while over the BAC limit as a dumb teen/young idiot...or even in older age. A friend of my pap was the solid dude you'll ever meet, brilliant engineer/mechanic who worked with him at the papermill and on dragrace cars and bikes, etc. Ultimately ended up with like 4, maybe 5 DUI's by the age ~55(?). Never hurt anyone, only himself ultimately. Ended up doing like 20 years(?), or so all combined ... He contributed much more to society than 75% of my generation. Alcohol/substances can be hard things to quit, especially alcohol, opioids, and downers(eg: Benzos) when at the level of needing it to function, and not go into withdrawal. Idk.. I think our current DUI system is fine. If you don't hurt anybody, the punishments fit the crime a lot of the time. You kill/maim/etc somebody in a DUI.. they DO fry you and throw the book at you. At least where I'm from..(unless you're in "the club" eg: cops, judges/prosecutors/favored lawyers, politicians, etc.. that support the correct party).
Oh well.. all conservatives who own AR's, Glocks/SIG 320's/Springfield XD's/S&W M&P's/etc striker-fired, and double stack 2011-style pistols with extended mags and other "scary-looking" weapons will all be felons soon enough anyway, or a walking "unconvicted-felon". That is, if you consider and carry yourself as a free man, and not a bitch boy who willingly submits to unconstitutional laws, like our good friend and the staunch defender of our values - @rustyinbend ....

I think that should be the qualifier. And there should be a record of some sort by every licensed driver stating that they understand those implications before they are issued a license.
But that might be effective. And states would lose tens of thousands of dollars of revenue off of each offense.
Let's not kid ourselves. It isn't about public safety... Otherwise there wouldn't be thousands of repeat offenders out there racking up double digit DUI's.
